Step One: Introductory Email
If you are interested in adopting a MCG puppy, you are in the right place! Please, spend some time reading about us, our dogs, and various information. The more you learn from our website, the quicker we can help you determine which litter will be a good fit for your family.
After the website, it all starts with an email. Shoot an email to [email protected] and tell us about yourself, your family, your lifestyle and your dream dog. Remember, however, that dream dogs are just that - a dream! That said, dream dogs won't greet you eagerly at the door, keep you company on walks, cuddle with you when you're down, and just be there when you need them. For that, you need a real dog with an even temperament and a desire to please. We are so proud that all of our parent dogs have those qualities and we believe they pass them down to their pups.
We will try to respond to your email within a couple days. If you don't hear from us, nagging is okay ;-) Okay, not a lot of nagging but a helpful reminder is often appreciated. Goldendoodles are only part of our life, there is a lot of regular family life that fills our schedule.

Step 2: Waiting lists
Perhaps you already have an idea of which litter you are most interested in. That's great! If not, we will suggest a litter which seems to fit your lifestyle. We will let you know sizes, coat types, cost and predicted timing. If you agree, we will add you to a waiting list. Our waiting lists are no-obligation, but they get you the scoop before anyone else. We'll keep you updated about progress and you'll be the first to know once we've confirmed that puppies are on the way.
Step 3: Deposit
Three weeks after breeding we start looking for signs that our girls are expecting. Amanda is the official "Puppy Prognosticator" and she has a 98% record. Around this time, we are seeking her opinion on whether or not the breeding was successful. About 30 days into the hoped for pregnancy, we will be able to confirm if puppies are on the way. As George Strait says, we can "Check Yes or No", usually through an ultrasound at our veterinarian. We try to keep you informed throughout the process, but will definitely let you know once the litter is confirmed. All Waiting List Families will be emailed and given the chance at placing a deposit at this time. After a couple days the waiting lists are closed and anyone who didn't respond will fade into waiting list obscurity......
The deposit is $200 and it is NON-REFUNDABLE. You can place a deposit for a specific gender, and, if there are health concerns, a coat type. Other specifications are dependent upon individual litters. We are not Burger King and don't make puppies special order. If you request a girl and there are no girls available, we will refund the deposit or you can transfer it to another litter. If you are #7 on the list and there are only 6 puppies, we will refund the deposit or you can transfer it to another litter. If you request a female puppy and there are 2 female puppies available but you don't "fall in love" with either, you forfeit the deposit. Step 4: The wait
This consists of 3-4 weeks of basically nothing. You wait, we wait, the momma dog waits. We try to update if there is anything interesting, but basically we are all waiting. Hurry up and wait. And watch Facebook. And wait.
Step 5: Puppies!
Once we have news, we'll post on Facebook. We try to update during the birth, but sometimes we are too busy, too tired, too bleary eyed, etc. Newborn pictures will probably be poor quality because we snapped them with our phone while doing 100 other things. The boy/girl count is not to be trusted for the first 48 hours. We are NOTORIOUS for mistaking an umbilical cord for something else, and vice versa. Many puppies are born throughout the night and until some sleep and coffee kick in, we can't be trusted to identify gender.
Now the fun waiting begins: waiting for more pictures, waiting to visit to choose your puppy, waiting for Puppy Play Days, waiting to bring puppy home. We'll walk you through these events as they vary from litter to litter.
